“Home Alone” refers to a condensed moment of being alone at home, when perception slows down.

Marco Stanke's works are not presented in a neutral white cube, but among furniture, lamps, and everyday objects. The apartment becomes a habitat and a stage for quiet coexistence. Art does not appear as autonomous, but as part of an existing constellation within an ensemble of things, such as the “Table Ronde Paris” by André Dubreuil or the lamps of the Akari series by Isamu Noguchi.

The boundaries between object and artwork, function and fiction, begin to blur. Stanke understands his works as “parts” of an open collective — a dynamic system that continually reforms itself. It is the idea of a mobility in which there is no fixed hierarchy and no final form.

“Home Alone” conceives of the living space as a living organism whose constellations shift, and in which things assume a collective form of presence.

Die Arbeiten von Marco Stanke sind nicht im neutralen White Cube präsentiert, sondern versammeln sich zwischen Möbeln, Leuchten und Alltagsgegenständen. Die Wohnung wird zum Habitat und zur Bühne einer stillen Koexistenz. Kunst erscheint nicht als autonom, sondern als Teil eines bestehenden Gefüges inmitten eines Ensembles aus Dingen, wie der „Table Ronde Paris“ von André Dubreuil oder den Leuchten der Akari-Serie von Isamu Noguchi.

Die Grenzen zwischen Gebrauchsobjekt und Kunstwerk, Funktion und Fiktion verschwimmen. Stanke versteht seine Werke als „Teile“ eines offenen Kollektivs – ein dynamisches System, das sich immer wieder neu formiert. Es ist die Idee einer Mobilität, in der es keine feste Hierarchie und keine endgültige Gestalt gibt.

“Home Alone” denkt den Wohnraum als lebendigen Organismus, dessen Konstellationen sich verändern und in dem die Dinge eine kollektive Form von Präsenz annehmen.

Etage Projects is pleased to present a group exhibition bringing together FOS, Minjae Kim, Tomoya Matsuzaki and Freddy Tuppen, hosted at Galerie Lovaas on the occasion of Various Others 2026.

Staged across the gallery’s spaces, the exhibition convenes four artists whose practices move fluidly between sculpture, furniture and light - each operating at the threshold where the functional object becomes a carrier of narrative, material reflection and atmosphere.

Danish artist FOS presents a group of sculptural works, including Bit Petite Street Lamp, Diamond Table and the Den Frie wall lamp, extending his longstanding inquiry into social structures and the built environment. Minjae Kim contributes a constellation of works - two chairs, a table and a vase - continuing his exploration of inherited forms, ornament, and the quiet authority of craftsmanship. Tomoya Matsuzaki presents new pastels on found paper, where surface, time and gesture accumulate into delicate, layered images. Freddy Tuppen debuts a new body of work conceived specifically for the exhibition: a floor light, a wall light and a pendant, each responding to the spatial and atmospheric conditions of the gallery.

Together, the four practices articulate a domestic landscape unfolding in slow motion - light, form, surface and support - where objects are held at the point at which they begin to transform into something beyond their use.

Etage Projects freut sich, anlässlich von Various Others 2026 bei Lovaas Projects eine Gruppenausstellung zu präsentieren, die FOS, Minjae Kim, Tomoya Matsuzaki und Freddy Tuppen zusammenbringt.

Die Ausstellung erstreckt sich über die gesamten Räumlichkeiten der Galerie und vereint vier Künstler, deren Schaffen fließend zwischen Skulptur, Möbel und Licht wechselt – wobei jeder an der Schwelle agiert, an der das funktionale Objekt zum Träger von Erzählung, materieller Reflexion und Atmosphäre wird.

Der dänische Künstler FOS präsentiert eine Reihe skulpturaler Arbeiten, darunter „Bit Petite Street Lamp“, „Diamond Table“ und die Wandleuchte „Den Frie“, und setzt damit seine langjährige Auseinandersetzung mit sozialen Strukturen und der gebauten Umwelt fort. Minjae Kim steuert eine Konstellation von Werken bei – zwei Stühle, einen Tisch und eine Vase – und setzt damit seine Erforschung überlieferter Formen, Ornamente und der stillen Autorität handwerklicher Kunst fort. Tomoya Matsuzaki präsentiert neue Pastellarbeiten auf gefundenem Papier, in denen sich Oberfläche, Zeit und Gestik zu zarten, vielschichtigen Bildern verdichten. Freddy Tuppen stellt erstmals eine neue, speziell für die Ausstellung konzipierte Werkreihe vor: eine Stehleuchte, eine Wandleuchte und eine Pendelleuchte, die jeweils auf die räumlichen und atmosphärischen Gegebenheiten der Galerie reagieren.

Gemeinsam artikulieren die vier Künstler eine häusliche Landschaft, die sich in Zeitlupe entfaltet – Licht, Form, Oberfläche und Träger –, in der Objekte an dem Punkt gehalten werden, an dem sie beginnen, sich in etwas zu verwandeln, das über ihren Gebrauchszweck hinausgeht.
